2022 Summer Reading Program

All ages from children to adult are invited to join this year's Summer Reading Program!
  1. Sign up at mcfarlandlibrary.beanstack.org
  2. Track your reading/activities.
  3. Earn tickets to enter our prize drawings.
Prizes include gift cards, library swag, and specially curated gift bundles. All children and teens who complete the program will also earn a free book. Deadline to earn and redeem tickets is August 31.

Friends Used Book Sale

Do you love to read and talk about books? Are you looking for an interesting job working with great people? Do you have a flexible schedule?
 
We're looking for someone with strong customer service and computer literacy skills to join us as a Library Assistant:
  • Permanent, part-time position
  • 13-15 hours per week including some evenings and weekends
  • Additional hours may be available filling in for other shifts
  • $18.19/hour starting wage

This workshop will help you delve into crucial conversations across differences, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of yourself. Charles Payne will guide you in a discussion of poems by different poetry slam and story slam authors before you workshop and brainstorm ideas for your own 3-5 minute poem or story you'll share with the group.
