Picking up your holds just got easier! When you receive notification that your holds are ready, you can now book your own pickup appointment online. Visit our website at mcfarlandlibrary.org and look for the Curbside Pickup banner.
Special notes:
Online scheduling only available if you have holds ready.
Double check your library card number and PIN. If either of these are incorrect, the system will say you don't have any holds available. If you have forgotten your PIN, give us a call at 608-838-9030.
If you would like to pick up other family members' holds in addition to yours, please let us know in the Reservation Notes field.
Please call to schedule pickup of book bundles, craft kits, or other special circumstances (if you're also picking up holds, you can schedule online and ask us to add your bundle/kit in the Reservation Notes field).
Did you know?
Despite limited staffing for social distancing, we are still working hard to get materials to our patrons:
About 375 curbside pickup appointments per week
Over 5000 appointments since we began curbside service on 4/24
Filling about 100 book bundle requests per month
Checking in items from book drop and delivery service
We understand these changes can be challenging and we appreciate your patience as we work to balance safety and service. Stay tuned to our social media and Library Service Update page for the latest information and FAQs.Other helpful links:
Please keep the following in mind when returning your items:
Items are quarantined for at least 4 days before checking them in. Due to volume and staffing, it may take longer.
You will still see them on your account and receive automated notices until they are checked in.
After quarantine, the check in date will be backdated to reflect the date they were returned.
Items can be renewed 2 times if there are no other patrons waiting.
If you need more time, please contact us.
While we no longer charge overdue fines, items that are 30 days overdue will convert to lost status and generate a charge of the full replacement cost. These items cannot be renewed and an account balance over $20 will block you from checking items out. The charge will be removed once the item is returned.
