The virgin suicides : a novel by Jeffrey Eugenides"As someone who loved the movie adaptation, the book was an easy transition. The movie version was true to the book. But with all adaptations, the book was much better. I enjoyed the in-depth look of kids coming of age in the 70s and the same boys writing a retrospect decades later. It was a beautiful story that I enjoyed as a teen and later on as an adult." (CR, 6/17/2024)

Children of anguish and anarchyby Tomi Adeyemi"I can definitely say that I did not predict where the story was going after the end of the previous book. I wasn't sure I really liked where it was heading until maybe halfway through the book. I feel like the ending was a bit rushed and some big issues were glossed over. Overall, a good series with a satisfactory ending." (GE, 6/19/2024)

Just for the summer by Abby Jimenez"It was a great summer romance. Has some depth with talks of attachment issues and hard family dynamics, but lots of humor too!" (HC, 6/22/2024)

Memoir Writing for Dummiesby Ryan G. Van Cleave"I have never written a book, and I decided to write a memoir at the beginning of this year. Memoir for Dummies has been my companion ever since the beginning of my writing task. I'm almost finished writing in I could have not done it without this book. I recommend it to anyone who is not a writer and wants to write a memoir to leave a written legacy of their lives whether it's for their descendants or the world." (RB, 6/23/2024)

A slow fire burning by Paula Hawkins"I'm new to Paula Hawkins' books, but this one definitely kept my interest throughout. If you're looking for a good psychological thriller that's not too gruesome, give it a listen." (SA, 6/24/2024)
