In honor of National Library Week, the Schiller Park Public Library will host a bookmark contest April 1-30 for kids, tweens, teens, and adults who attend Schiller Park Schools or reside in Schiller Park. Winners are picked from five age categories: ages 5-7, ages 8-10, ages 11-13, ages 14-18 and adults. Each winner will be notified by phone, receive a gift card, have their winning bookmark printed and distributed in the library, and featured on the library website and social media pages. Full details will be on the entry form. Participants may pick up an entry form in Children’s World or visit our website at schillerparklibrary.org to download one.

Teen Origami Take & Create April 19 - April 26 Open to ages 11-17. Limited to 24 Teens. While Supplies Last. Registration required. Each month teen participants will learn basic beginner paper folding techniques to create an assortment of cool creations through the art of origami! Limited project supplies and instructions will be provided.

Take & Make STE(A)M KIT April 28- May 05 Open to ages 3- 17. 1 Per Participant. Limited to 24 participants. While Supplies Last. Registration required. Schiller Park Public Library is pleased to offer Take & Make STE(A)M KITs based on S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) concepts. Our Take & Make STE(A)M KIT provides a hands-on activity and instructions designed for children and adults to work together to complete a fun learning challenge at home.
