Friday, January 2nd at 2pm Join Judith Loeber for Pastel Painting with Portraiture, at the Greenwood Public Library on Friday, January 2nd at 2pm. Teens will learn to develop drawing tones and values with charcoal pencil and learn to use pastel as paint, as well as how to use complementary colors to balance local color skin tone, and make a portrait interesting. Students will also learn how to create color washes, and overlay color. Charcoal, Pastels and paper will be provided. For creative Teens up to 19 years old. Wednesday, January 14th at 3pm Join us on Wednesday, January 14 at the Greenwood Public Library, for an informative presentation from QPR instructor, Sydney Elliott from the Mental Health Association of Delaware. This information equips people to be on the lookout for signs of those who are in need of help with a game plan to provide that help. QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) teaches the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.. As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to: recognize the warning signs of suicide, know how to offer hope and know how to get help and save a life.
