Read to the Dogs 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at4pm L.E.A.P. (Literacy Education Assistance Pups) Program – Read to the Dogs - is free and open to children of all ages. Come in to practice your reading and have a tail-waggin’ good time! L.E.A.P. sessions will be held at the Greenwood Library on the first and third Thursdays of the month. No registration is required; just come to the Greenwood Library any time between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., choose a 4-legged, tail-wagging reading partner, and enjoy a good book together. Monday, October 6th at 4pm Get together to read, talk about books, and do fun activities that go along with the books at Bookworm Buddies on Monday, October 6th from 4:00-5:00pm. Our monthly Bookworm Buddies is growing and so we are going to split up different ages into groups. Please register participating children. Butterflies (ages 6-8) will be diving into Detective Duck: The Case of the Strange Splash by Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver, followed by related activities. Kids are encouraged to read (or listen to) the book before the program. Copies of the book will be available at the Greenwood Public Library from early September and copies are also available for instant download on the Hoopla app. Caterpillars (ages 3-5) will have their own story time and craft followed by play time.
