Virtual Concert: Silver Fox Songs Sunday, February 7 at 2pm This special edition of the Silver Fox Songs Series showcase FROM JAZZ TO SOUL, features Rhonda Denét performing a collection of jazz and soul favorites from the 1930s through the 1990s that honors the supreme human emotion -- LOVE. From romantic to universal love, there’s something for everyone be it new love, old love, tried love, or true love.

Jewelry Class: Happy Valentine's Day Earrings Mondays, February 8 and 22 at 6:30pm Create these lovely earrings for Valentine's Day! All materials (except for a few tools/household items, see calendar listing) will be provided for pickup prior to the class. Registration begins January 18th at 10am.

Public Health Panel: Your COVID-19 & Vaccine Questions Answered Wednesday, February 24 at 7pm Join us for a virtual information session organized with researchers from Rutgers University. This virtual session will feature a panel of speakers, including Mayor Kramer and other local public health experts, answering your questions about vaccinations and other issues around COVID-19 in our community. Making Your Job Search Work For You Tuesday, February 16 at 2pm Need help searching for a job? This workshop offers strategies for the job search process, including tools and resources available through the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board. Participants will walk away knowing: -What their job search is telling them -Strategies for making sure they don't get stuck in the search process -How to create a targeted plan for a successful search Presented by Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board Director Paul Grzella.

Workforce Wednesdays: The Art of Effective Communication Wednesday, February 17 at 10am Communication is important in all aspects of our lives, including in the workplace. Workshop participants will understand a working definition of communication and review communication models and their key elements. We will apply Myers Briggs personality assessments to develop effective communication skills. Investigate different styles of communicating, learn how tolerance for disagreement affects effective communication, and learn new tools for effective communication. Presented by Jan Goodman, Community Outreach Specialist for Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Center.

Tai Chi for BeginnersSaturdays February 6 and 20 at 7:00pm Learn the fundamentals of Tai Chi and improve strength, balance, coordination, and inner peace. This is a perfect opportunity to experience authentic Tai Chi training, also referred to as 'Meditation in Motion.' Presented by Dr. Gang Huang, the founder of 'Seeking Tai Chi.'

Chair Yoga Thursdays, February 11 and 25 at 11am Open to all levels of practice and abilities, this gentle class focuses on an exploration of basic yoga poses and how to connect them through attention to breathing, alignment and mindfulness. Although much of the class will be done seated in a chair, the option to practice standing poses to improve balance, strength and flexibility are also included. This class is perfect for stress relief and overall well-being. Presented by yoga instructor Shanti.

Zumba Gold Chair & Chair PilatesWednesdays at 2pm New for 2021: enjoy Zumba every week! Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. Zumba incorporates easy-to-follow choreography that focuses on range of motion and coordination. Chair Pilates is a mind-body class based on Pilates principles, using the chair for support and balance as well as various fun props, and incorporating breathing, stretching and strengthening for the whole body! Presented by instructor Laurie Fechter.

Potato Printing Workshop Tuesday, February 9 at 6:30pm Explore the art of surface design and customize everyday items with potato printing! In this 2-hour workshop, Ruby from Spokes & Stitches will teach you how to create a tessellating or repeating pattern stamp by carving a potato. All materials (except for a few tools/household items, see calendar listing) will be provided for pickup prior to the class. Space is limited! Registration begins January 18th at 10am.
