Upcoming Activities Scheduled in November:
  • Monday, November 17th at 4:30pm in the meeting room we have a presentation by Rita Pelczar on Fall Perennials. Growing perennials from seed is economical and rewarding. Many native perennials can be sown in late fall to give you a head start on next spring’s flowers. In fact, many perennials need the chilling temperatures of winter to break their dormancy so they will start to grow when temperatures warm up in the spring.

  • Horticulturist Rita Pelczar will discuss seed dormancy and why fall sowing makes sense. She will provide details for sowing a number of native perennials including when to sow the seed and the follow up care required.
  •
  • Wednesday, November 19th at 9:45am we with have French Broad River Academy boys onsite for service and an educational tour. I hope you can join us as we do fall maintenance efforts.
