Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Johnson Creek Public Library are bringing Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to JC - and they need your help! This program will provide one free book a month to children ages 0 to 5.
  • Volunteer - They are looking for people who can help organize data, fundraise, and network with local businesses. If you want to make a real difference in your community, volunteer on their webpage.
  • Donate - One donation of $25 will give one child 12 books a year! You can write a check and send it to the library, or donate through PayPal. Visit their webpage to learn more.
Collection Development
We have been working hard to update the adult collection to make it easier to find what you are looking for. This is a long and labor intensive process, but we know it will make your library experience better in the end. Here are some of the improvements:
  • adding number labels on the spine to show if a book is part of series
  • adding series title on inside front page so you know what series a book is part of
  • putting large print books with the rest of the genre and marking them with yellow stickers to make them easier to see
  • moving and re-cataloging books in their correct genre so you can find all of your favorites in the same place
  • cleaning and repairing books
  • shifting shelves and rearranging so the same genre is all in the same place
If you can't find what you're looking for, please ask. We appreciate your patience and welcome your feedback, so tell us what you think!
