Melquea Smith Art Exhibit Throughout June Melquea Smith is a queer, multi-award-winning children’s book illustrator who creates clip art of Black and brown kids in all shapes and sizes for educators, authors, and business owners. As a kid, Melquea struggled with being accepted and loving herself, so now, she honors her little self by showing up joyfully and authentically to encourage every beautiful human to do the same. You can view her colorful, inclusive, joyous art throughout the month of June. Meet her on Saturday, June 6th from noon until 1:00 pm as she reads her favorite stories, answers questions, and sells signed posters. One poster will be raffled. For all ages.

Trivia Night Friday, June 12 from 6:00-8:30 pm It’s trivia night and your team might win a prize! Teams can be up to 4 people, and if you don’t have a team you can join one. Please bring something for the potluck table; we’ll provide the mocktails. You could even win a door prize! For adults 18+. Registration is required. The library is closed from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm then will be open to adults from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
