Arts & Minds: A Showcase for Creative Aging May 4 - 29 Celebrate art-making in later life! Organized by Syracuse Jewish Family Service (SJFS), this exhibit features works created by elder artists engaged in SJFS’s Arts and Minds Initiative, including Opening Minds Through Art and the Arts & Minds section of M-Power U: A Learning Community for Early Memory Loss. This showcase has been traveling throughout Central New York to demonstrate the limitless power of creativity and to disrupt ageism. It is made possible through the CNY Arts Grants for Regional Arts and Cultural Engagement regrant program, the Lillian Slutzker Family Foundation, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, the Leonard and Irwin Kamp Family Foundation, and many individual donors and corporate sponsors. SJFS is a non-profit agency dedicated to helping individuals and families of any faith and age in CNY.
