Douglas County Public Library is excited to announce the return of
Mango Languages!
Mango is an award-winning, personalized, adaptive language-learning experience that provides the tools and guidance you need to expand your language skills wherever and however you learn best. Library users can learn over 70 world languages and 20 English courses online for free, just by using their Douglas County Public Library Card.
Some of the amazing features offered with Mango Languages are real-world conversations, voice comparison for matching your pronunciation with native speakers, listening and reading activities, a personalized review system that adapts to your individual learning pathway, and cultural notes. Learning is available through your computer’s browser as well as a free mobile app.
To get started and for more information please visit the library’s website: https://library.douglascountynv.gov/library/downloadables/mango_languages

We would like to give a sincere thank you
to all who donated to our matching funds
campaign in November and December!

The mission of the DCPLF is to fund the development of future services for the Douglas County Public Library.

Expansion of the library to include the following projects:
  • Expansion of the library to include a new community room.
  • Redevelopment of staff workspace into community areas.
  • Expansion of the library area for book donations and storage.
  • Develop current space to include a larger quiet area space for the public.
  • Develop a small public meeting room with technology.
  • Create an area for more parking. (Purchase property in the back of library)
  • Create an outdoor reading space for the children.
  • Create an endowment fund to keep the library as a thriving community space.
