Music in the Park Los Gatos Music in the Park is one of the premier summer events hosted by the Town of Los Gatos. Since 1988, Music in the Park (MIP) has been a free public summer concert series held on Sunday afternoons, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on the Los Gatos Civic Center Lawn. We are excited to continue to provide the opportunity for our community to enjoy a fun mix of musical genres in a family friendly atmosphere. Library Staff will be at MIP on Sunday, August 4 with Summer Reading information and a family craft.

Silk Dying Workshop Saturday August 3 at 2 PM Pageant Park Local artist Judi Snyder will lead a silk dyeing workshop, using various color combinations and techniques to get the perfect color on a beautiful piece of fabric. Papermaking DATE CHANGED!!!: Friday August 30 at 11:30 AM Technology Lab & Pageant Park Artist, papermaker, book artist, and instructor Michelle Wilson will be here to lead a workshop on papermaking. Come learn how to use the deckle and mold in the pre-prepared paper pulp. Get a look into how paper was made traditionally and see the gratifying results of your own creations. Flower Arranging Saturday August 17 at 2 PM Technology Lab Come learn how to arrange a bouquet of flowers with Ann Wu, local artist. Block Printing Workshop Saturday August 24 at 6 PM Technology Lab Patricia Wakida is an artist who practices in linoleum blocks, wood and metal type, and letterpress. Backyard Birding for the Beginning Birdwatcher Saturday September 7 at 11 AM Lisa Myers, owner of the Los Gatos Birdwatcher, will lead a bird walk, focusing on the many different species of birds that come here during the breeding season. This birding adventure will provide a fun and exciting experience in the field while introducing people to the many organizations dedicated to environmental awareness and education. Discover "Lost Gatos": Heart of Los Gatos Tour Saturday September 14 at 10:30 AM Did you know that our charming downtown business district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places? Join Alan Feinberg as he leads a guided walking tour through "The Heart of Los Gatos." You'll learn about some of the fascinating - but mostly forgotten - people who have shaped our town over the past 200 years. Bring comfortable shoes and water, meet in front of the Library.
