Mar10 Party Marks National Mario Day
 
Youth, ages 7 to 15, are invited to Rodman Public Library’s Mar10 Party, a celebration of National Mario Day at 4 p.m. on March 10.
 
During the event, kids will play a life-sized version of Mario Party, moving around a giant game board as they play minigames, winning stars and coins along the way.
 
The event is free, thanks to support from Friends of Rodman Library, but space is limited and registration is required.

 Teen Book Club
Meets March18 
 
Rodman Public Library invites teens,
ages 12 to 18, to join the Teen Book Club, which meets every third Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. at the Main Library.

World Book Timelines
 
World Book Timelines is an interactive, web-based database featuring over 650 pre-generated, customizable timelines covering history, arts, science, and notable people. It enables users, particularly students in grades 3-12, to visualize, create, edit, and share chronological events, with more than 14,000 built-in events, images, and videos.
Optimized for use on tablets, this resource is designed to help users understand the cause-and-effect relationships between historical events.
 
 You can find all 70+ databases offered by RPL online at rodmanlibrary.com/databases. Most can be accessed from your own device with a valid library card.

FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY
Tabletop Gaming
 
Tabletop Gaming, a popular all-ages program returns to the Main Library at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3.
 
Each month, a new game will be featured so that patrons can learn a new game. Of course, other games available in the library’s collection will also be available and visitors are always welcome to bring their own games.
 
The free monthly event is held on the first Tuesday of each month. 
 
Nno registration is required to attend the monthly program.
 
Although the program is open to players of all ages, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Rodman Chess Club 
 
The popular Rodman Chess Club will be held inside the Rodman Auditorium on from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on March 18. Although it is called a club, the program has no formal membership and is open to all interested in the ancient game of strategy. Players of all ages and levels are welcome to come and go throughout the evening. Several boards are set up in the auditorium and players mingle to find opponents. Chess Club is held on the third Wednesday of each month.
