42 Books in 2024 Our bookmark challenge is back and even harder than before! Ask a Librarian for a reading challenge bookmark to participate. There are over 50 categories on the card, but you only need to choose 42 to complete the challenge. Each time you complete a book in one of the categories, bring your bookmark back to the library to get a stamp. Participants who complete the challenge by December 16 will earn an exclusive Salem City Library Bibliophile prize and bragging rights. |

Fill out your book "dating profile" (paper or online) and turn it in to the library by February 3 to be paired up with your book blind date. Each participant will be given 2-3 books along with some extra special goodies to make your dates even better! Sign up from January 22-February 3. Blind Date Bags will be available for pickup beginning February 12. Ages 18 and up. |
