Summer Reading Wrapping Up, August Program Break, Fall Changes, and the Big Booksale! Summer Reading ends on July 31! All activities and books need to be logged by July 31 to be considered for a grand prize. Grand prize winners will be contacted Friday, August 1. It might take us a few extra days to contact the additional winners as we have more prizes than usual this summer. Due to our Annual Booksale, we are not able to offer programs in August. Our program calendar for September is lighter than usual because Sam will be getting married! She is taking time off for wedding related reasons and additional staff will be out to attend the wedding. We usually try to start our programs back right after the August break, but this year we will be rolling programs out a little later. Due to unexpected closures in July, we are a bit behind on projects. We'll be adding our fall programs onto our Events Calendar on our website in August, it might take us a few weeks to get everything up. We have some changes to our program schedule for the fall. STEM will be on Saturday, September 13, but will be moving to Sundays starting in October. Junior Friends moves to the first Tuesday each month. Tech Club is moving to Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm. We are reworking our October family event, and the new name is The Witching Hour. We'll share details about this event in the September newsletter. We start collecting books for our big annual book sale August 1! We take books for youth and adults. Please no textbooks or reference books. The sale will start at 4 pm Thursday, August 21, and will end Saturday, August 23, at 5 pm. Best, Aimee Villet Youth Services Director
