Peace Dale Library 1057 Kingstown Rd, Wakefield 789-1555 After our winter closure for renovations, Peace Dale reopened to the public on Monday April 13th! We are so happy to be back! However, the Library remains an active construction site. There may be noise, dust, limited services, & some areas will be unavailable. Kingston & Hale will be returning to their regular winter hours on the 13th, with one exception. Peace Dale will not be open on Saturdays, Hale will remain open on Saturdays 9am-5pm **ROOF REPLACEMENT** Please be aware that the Peace Dale Library roof is being replaced beginning April 28th. The Main Entrance will be accessible as normal. DROP IN TECH HELP THURSDAY MAY 21ST 3-5PM Not sure why your phone is doing that thing? Can’t figure out how to get your tablet to do what you want? Tonight's book is The God of the Woods by Liz Moore. ~~~ Community Event REPAIR FAIR SATURDAY MAY 9TH 9AM-12PM South Kingstown Recreation Center, 30 St Dominic Rd Hosted by South Kingstown Public Library and the Recycling Coordinator. Give your broken or damaged items new life and keep them out of the landfill by bringing them to be fixed by skilled volunteers. RHODE ISLAND RENUNCIATION DAY CELEBRATION MONDAY MAY 4TH 3-4:30PM Along with the USA, the Kingston Free Library building also celebrates its 250th birthday this year! Join us for two events: at 3 PM, explore the history of the Kingston Free Library building during the Revolutionary era, followed at 4 PM by a historic ringing of the library's bell for the first time in decades - possibly centuries! Along with bells in East Greenwich, Bristol, Providence, and Newport, the bell will ring for one minute to commemorate the 250th anniversary of RI's Renunciation Act, which on May 4, 1776 declared RI's independence from King George III. Free to all, no registration. INTERDIMENSIONAL: CONSCIOUSNESS, CRYPTIDS, AND THE HIDDEN ARCHITECTURE OF REALITY WEDNESDAY MAY 13th 6-7:30PM Join Ronny LeBlanc, best known from Discovery’s "Expedition Bigfoot" and Travel Channel’s "Paranormal Caught on Camera," to explore the growing evidence that many of the phenomena we label as UFOs, UAPs, and cryptids — especially Bigfoot — may not be purely physical beings, but visitors accessing our reality from other dimensions. The sale will take place on the library lawn (weather permitting) from 9am to 2pm. So many good books will be for sale at great prices so bring a bag or two! Cash or check only. A MAP FOR A RHODE ISLAND REVOLUTION WEDNESDAY MAY 20TH 6PM Cartographer Andrew Middleton explores a 1777 map of RI used by the British Navy during the occupation of Newport. Learn how to read a map like a cartographer and see the impact of this map.

Search the children's room, find the clues, solve the riddle! WEEKLY KIDS DROP IN DIY ACTIVITIES Join us each week in the children's room for a new craft or activity!
