Peace Dale Library 1057 Kingstown Rd, Wakefield 789-1555 PUBLIC PRESENTATION OF RENOVATION PLANS AT BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING TUESDAY OCT 14TH 6:00PM At the October Board of Trustees meeting, library staff will present the plans for the renovation of Peace Dale Library.The public is welcome at any BOT meeting. DEVICE DROP IN TECH HELP THURSDAY OCT 16TH 3-5PM Not sure why your phone is doing that thing? Can’t figure out how to get your tablet to do what you want? Stop by Peace Dale library for tech help. No registration required. LIBRARY SHELFIE NIGHT MONDAY OCT 27TH 6-7:30PM Ever wanted to step into a work of art? While our painting is being restored, we’re turning its large frame into a one-night-only "shelfie station!" Join us for a drop-in evening where you can pose inside the frame and snap a selfie (or group pic!).Perfect for teens, adults, families, and anyone who wants a fun fall photo. TEEN PROGRAMS & EVENTS TEEN VOLUNTEER TAKE-AND-MAKE KITS OCT 1st - 24th Teens grades 6-12 are invited to stop by the Teen Area at Peace Dale Library to pick up a teen volunteer take and make packet. This month, we will be making cards for local veterans for Veterans Day. Details and instructions will be provided in the packet. Please note; completed cards are due back by October 24th, and no late cards can be accepted.

Kingston Free Library 2605 Kingstown Rd, Kingston 783-8254 CELEBRATING 250 YEARS! ALL MONTH We created a NEW exhibit to tell the story of the Kingston Free Library's 250-year history. This time we're covering the years 1800-1891, the Courthouse Years! Free & open during normal business hours. MODEL BUILDING CLUB THURSDAYS 5:30-7:30PM A space to relax, connect with fellow model enthusiasts in the library. Bring any project—models, miniatures, LEGOs, etc. All ages welcome (little builders need an adult). Bring your own tools. TAROT 101, LE CHAT NOIR WEDNESDAY OCT. 22ND 5:30-7:30PM Dive into The World of Tarot with professional Tarot Reader and Psychic Medium Sarah Gagne. Sarah will explore the history of Tarot; breaking the stigma of Tarot as a form of divination for yourself and others; Tarot ethics; developing your own "Sixth Sense"; and more. MEDICARE EXPLAINED SATURDAY, OCT. 25TH 11AM-NOON Join speaker Ed Collins for a free program that is geared toward individuals about to turn 65, or individuals already on Medicare who aren't sure they are still on the best plan. You'll learn when & how to enroll, potential penalties, and enrollment dates.

Robert Beverly Hale Library 2601 Commodore Perry Highway, South Kingstown 783-5386 FRIENDS OF THE HALE LIBRARY ANNUAL MEETING WEDNESDAY OCT 1ST 5PM All Friends of the Robert Beverly Hale Library are welcome to attend the annual meeting on Wednesday October 1, 2025 at 5pm at the library. Membership is open to all, with a common goal of seeing our library grow and expand. The Friends support such things as Children's and Young Adult programming, and purchases of special library materials. EVENING KNITTERS & CROCHETERS GROUP TUESDAYS 6-8PM Bring your projects to work on with a community of fellow knitters & crocheters. All skill levels welcome! BOOKMARKS BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP THURSDAY OCT 30TH 7PM Bookmarks, the discussion group at the Robert Beverly Hale Library, meets the last Thursday of the month, September through May (no meeting in December) to talk about good books. New members are always welcome and books are available to pick up the month before at the Hale Library. This month's selection is The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters.

Peace Dale Library 1057 Kingstown Rd, Wakefield 789-1555 CHILDREN’S COMMUNITY ART BOARD: CREEPY CARROTS OCT 1-31 Join us in the children's room each month and contribute to our community art bulletin board! Each month will have a different theme & supplies will be available all month long! This month we're celebrating the book "Creepy Carrots" by Aaron Reynolds. Design your own to add to our display! DROP-IN DIY ACTIVITIES FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS 9AM-5PM Drop by the Peace Dale Children's Room every Friday and Saturday for a self-directed activity! From crafts to scavenger hunts, we'll have something different each week. Projects will remain available during the week while supplies last. Geared for ages 5 and up. Kingston Free Library 2605 Kingstown Rd, Kingston 783-8254 BILINGUAL STORYTIME TUESDAYS SEPT 30TH & OCT 21ST 10:30AM Join Senora Sole for a fun morning of Spanish rhymes, songs, and movement. Geared for preschool through early elementary. KIDS ART SPOT FRIDAYS 10:30AM *No Art spot 10/3* Join us for a process art activity where we focus on the joy of creating, not the finished product. Afterward, children can enjoy free-play fun with the library's toys. All ages. AUTUMN STORY YOGA SATURDAY OCT 11TH at 10:30AM Join certified “ChildLight Yoga and Mindfulness for Children” instructor, Miss Sharon, for autumn stories, yoga poses, activities, and fun! Geared for ages 3 – 8 but all are welcome. NURSERY RHYME TIME TUESDAY OCT 14TH 10:30AM Join us for nursery rhymes, fingerplays, stories, songs, and movement activities. Geared for ages birth - 3 but all are welcome. After the program, children can enjoy free-play fun using the library's toy collection. HALLOWEEN PARADE TUESDAY OCT 28TH 10:30AM Families are invited to come in costume and join us for a Halloween Parade from Kingston Free Library to URI's Office of Admission. A police officer will help us cross Upper College Road safely. Afterward, enjoy a Halloween themed StoryWalk®, craft, and free-play on the Kingston Free Library lawn. Please bring a bag

Robert Beverly Hale Library 2601 Commodore Perry Hwy, South Kingstown 783-5386 SENSORY STORYTIME MONDAYS AT 10:30AM NO STORYTIME OCT 13 Come join all of our storytime friends for stories, songs, and sensory play! Geared for ages 18 months through 4 years but all are welcome. Play and crafts may be messy. No registration is required. LEGO TUESDAYS TUESDAYS 1-7:30PM Every Tuesday we will have our Lego collection out in the Children's Room to build with! COMMUNITY EVENT TOUCH A TRUCK STORYTIME WEDNESDAY OCT 15TH SOUTH KINGSTOWN HIGHWAY DIVISION Children and caregivers are invited to the South Kingstown Highway Division (134 Asa Pond Rd in Wakefield) for a special Touch-a-Truck Storytime featuring stories, songs, and action rhymes followed by the chance to climb aboard a variety of trucks.
