Downtown MPHPL Third Street Entrance/Exit Closure
The downtown Mishawaka Library’s Third Street parking lot entrance/exit will temporarily close starting Monday, July 7 due to a city sewer improvement project.
Motorists will be able to enter our MPHPL parking lot from Lincolnway and exit via Race Street.
Work is expected to conclude sometime this fall.
There's Still Plenty of Time to Complete the Summer Reading Challenge
MPHPL Summer Reading Challenge cards are available online and at all library locations.
The challenge wraps up Monday, August 4.
All ages can take part; adult participants must be MPHPL cardholders.
Complete the five squares marked with a beach ball and show your card at a service desk for a small prize.
Everyone who completes the challenge and returns their card by Monday, August 4 receives a new book!

Penn High School’s Bittersweet yearbooks dating back to 1959
Marian High School’s Madrigal yearbooks dating back to 1968
Madison High School’s Madisonian yearbooks dating back to 1926
Our yearbook collection will continue to grow as more yearbooks are digitized.
Storytime at the MEF Community Greenhouse
Join us for storytime at the Mishawaka Education Foundation’s Community Greenhouse Monday, July 14, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
MPHPL has partnered with the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Department to make this special storytime possible.
The MEF Greenhouse is located at the corner of Broadway and Marion streets, across from the Battell Community Center.
After we read garden-themed books, guests will be able to pick fresh garden plants.
No registration is required.
If inclement weather occurs, this event will be canceled.
Morning at the Museum
Join us for a free tour of the Mishawaka Historical Museum Friday, July 25, at 11 a.m.
This special 45-minute program is made possible through a partnership between MPHPL and the museum.
The event will feature a special storytime for children, along with a scavenger hunt.
