March Break Kick-Off Party with SCIENCE NORTH!
Friday, March 13th | 12-3pm
Free activities all day | Live Science Demonstrations at 12:30 and 2:30.
 
The Callander Public Library is teaming up with the Bluecoats of Science North to bring you an extra special event to kick off your March Break!
 
Join us while we celebrate curiosity, discovery and science at the Callander Community Centre. We will have tons of activity stations for citizen scientists of all ages to play, explore and learn from. The Bluecoats will also be presenting live demonstration science shows
 
So bring the whole family and enjoy a day of discovery here in Callander!

Mystery Day

"Create and design your very own map of a fantasy world! Will there be islands? Castles? Forests? Our team of wizards will help guide you as you create your very own worlds!"

"Decorate, design, and write answers to guided prompts for a personal time capsule, that is sealed in the box until 2036.
 
Participants may also make their own predictions of what libraries might look like in the future."

PM Activity - Outdoor Story Circle + Seed Planting
"Participants will join for a story circle, outside on a (hopefully) nice day. The story will be a book about environmentalism and protecting the earth. After the story is read, each participant can plant their own tomato plant to take home."

"Let's have a Zine Jam! Participants will learn how to make a simple, 8 page zine, out of a one piece of paper. After a quick
tutorial, participants will have a blank Zine. What should they put in it? Anything they want!"

Misuse, transfer or sale of these passes is not permitted and may result in the library taking action including the suspension of borrowing privileges. The pass is valid for general Museum admission and special exhibitions (subject to capacity) only; excludes entry to seperately ticketed events."
 
Note: Passes cannot be used between March 14-22nd to accommodate their March Break influx
