March is a great month to promote reading. The first week is when we celebrate Read Across America Week in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. He is an author who helps introduce most kids to reading when they first start school. So what better way to celebrate than picking up your favorite book at the Sebastopol branch and read all month long?
I Am the Cat in the Hat by Alastair Heim

The Cat in the Hat introduces himself, Thing One and Thing Two, and Little Cats A-Z in this simple, sturdy board book about the joy of having fun.--
Teens
How many books have you read this month? I am sure you have read all the Dr. Seuss books as a child and have moved on to deeper meaning books. It is still fun to celebrate someone who, for many, started their reading journey. As you grow into a young adult reader, I am sure you have some of your favorite authors you enjoy. So stop by Sebastopol and pick up some books to join in all the reading fun.
Sunrise on the Reaping (the Hunger Games) by Suzanne Collins
Sunrise on the Reaping (the Hunger Games)
by Suzanne Collins

As the day dawns on the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, fear grips the districts of Panem. This year, in honor of the Quarter Quell, twice as many tributes will be taken from their homes. Back in District 12, Haymitch Abernathy is trying not to think too hard about his chances. All he cares about is making it through the day and being with the girl he loves. When Haymitch's name is called, he can feel all his dreams break. He's torn from his family and his love, shuttled to the Capitol with the three other District 12 tributes: a young friend who's nearly a sister to him, a compulsive oddsmaker, and the most stuck-up girl in town. As the Games begin, Haymitch understands he's been set up to fail. But there's something in him that wants to fight . . . and have that fight reverberate far beyond the deadly arena.--

Spring break is here, and I am sure many are excited for the first beach trip of the year. The water may still be a little too cold to enjoy, so nothing is better than checking out a great book to read on the beach. I love being able to provide the best books for you to choose from and take along on your reading adventures at the Sebastopol Branch. Be sure to look around, you will be able to find the classics as well as the hot new releases to keep you reading.
My Husband's Wife by Alice Feeney
My Husband's Wife
by Alice Feeney

Eden Fox, an artist on the brink of her big break, sets off for a run before her first exhibition. When she returns to the home she recently moved into, Spyglass, an enchanting old house in Hope Falls, nothing is as it should be. Her key doesn't fit. A woman, eerily similar to her, answers the door. And her husband insists that the stranger is his wife. One house. One husband. Two women. Someone is lying. Six months earlier, a reclusive Londoner called Birdy, reeling from a life-changing diagnosis, inherits Spyglass. This unexpected gift from a long-lost grandmother brings her to the pretty seaside village of Hope Falls. But then Birdy stumbles upon a shadowy London clinic that claims to be able to predict a person's date of death, including her own. Secrets start to unravel, and as the line between truth and lies blurs, Birdy feels compelled to right some old wrongs--
