Mississippi Comic Con
Check out these photos of Pearl Public Library staff at the Mississippi Comic Con! We had such an amazing time giving away Pokeballs, books, bookmarks, and other treats! Con attendees also successfully sabed the beat with our Beatsaber VR game!

Temporary Mural by Lilly Perkins
Lilly Perkins is a Reference Clerk at the Pearl Public Library! She has her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Belhaven University. Lilly painted our temporary mural to help decorate for our annual summer reading program. Our theme this year was "Color Our World" which is celebrated by the various color choices in her painting.

Help empower young minds and support Americorp by participating in our Kid’s Book Drive. Join us in making a positive impact on students’ lives by providing them with the tools they need to succeed in their academic journey. Drop all donations off at the Pearl Public Library!

Preschool Story Time 
Join us for a fun and interactive Preschool Storytime designed especially for children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers! Each week, we’ll explore exciting themes through stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement that spark imagination and build early literacy skills.
 
Pearl Peanuts K-5 Story Time 
Calling all curious kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade! Join us for a special storytime designed just for school-aged readers. Each session features exciting read-alouds, fun group activities, and hands-on creativity — from crafts to games and more!
Lapsit Storytime
Join us for Baby Lapsit Storytime, a special program designed for our youngest patrons (0–18 months) and their caregivers. This cozy, interactive session features rhymes, songs, simple stories, and movement to support early language development and bonding time
Buckle Bear
Join Buckle Bear for a puppet show about how car seats keep kids safe and what kids can do to help out their parents!
Ollie Otter
Join Ollie Otter as he teaches us about the importance of using our seat belts and booster seats! This program is for ages K-2! 
Ollie might even join us in person!

Join us for FREE Beginner-Friendly Dance Classes!
Every Monday and Tuesday beginning in August 2025!
This class is intended for adults! Various styles of dance will be taught, including Salsa, Line Dancing, and more. This class will be run by the dance organization Fantastic Rhythm and Dance!

Chess Group
Want to learn how to play chess?
Know how to play, but need a new opponent? We cover the rules at the beginning of every meeting for new players, cover tactics and will look at a new opening this week: The King’s Indian Attack! Boards and pieces provided, but feel free to bring your own!
