Monday, April 8: State of America's Libraries Report released, including Top Ten Frequently Challenged Books of 2018. Tuesday, April 9: National Library Workers Day, a day for library staff, administrators, and Friends groups to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers. #nlwd19 Wednesday, April 10: National Bookmobile Day, a day to recognize the contributions of our nation's bookmobiles and the dedicated professionals who make high-quality bookmobile outreach possible in their communities. #BookmobileDay2019

Face-to-Face, Let's Visit Monday, April 8, 1:00 p.m. We are going to get our faces out of our phones and visit face to face. It will be fun. Brown Bag Lunch with Author John Shivers Thursday, April 11, 12:30 Bring a lunch. We will provide drink and dessert. Central Comic Con Saturday, April 13, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. All the CMRLS libraries in Rankin County are coming together at Pearl Public Library for Central Comic Con. There will be games, crafts, food, trivia, drawing workshops, video game tournaments, robotics, and more. No one will want to miss this awesome event.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Children's Book Week, Pelahatchie Public Library will be giving away a bag of children's books. To enter, simply check out an item from the Pelahatchie library between Monday, April 29 and Thursday, May 2. Each time you check out, you will receive an entry for the drawing.
