Richland Writer's Group will meet on August 5, and 19 at 6:00 pm. Richland Writer's Group is a group of local writers, who meet and discuss the craft of writing. All skill levels are welcomed.
Color and Conversation will meet on Thursday, August 8 at 6:00 pm. Color and Conversation is a fun informal coloring group. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm. Materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own supplies.
Bingo for Books will be on Wednesday, August 14 at 3:00 pm. Come and play bingo at the Richland Library one every second Wednesday of the month. The winner or winners will get to pick their choice of FREE books off the Friends of the Library book exchange.
Coffee and Books Book Club will meet on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:30 am. Every month we discuss the current book selection and vote on the next book. Newcomers are welcome to jump in at anytime. August's book selection is "Mississippi in Africa" by Alan Huffman.
Central Mississippi Regional Library System has an opening for a Circulation Clerk to fill a full-time (40 hours) position at the Richland Public Library in Richland, Mississippi. The Circulation Clerk is responsible for the daily duties of the circulation desk, shelving, and assists in providing service to patrons at the circulation desk. Responsible for preserving the physical appearance and order of the collection. may assist in providing basic reference service.
As Associate's Degree and previous work experience are preferred, Computer literacy, good communication, and research skills are a must. Applicant must be able to lift from 30-40 pounds.
The salary for this position is $17,000.00 annually.
