October 2025

All CMRLS Libraries and the Administrative Office will be closed Monday, October 13 in observance of the federal holiday, Columbus Day. Regular library hours will resume Tuesday, October 14. Digital media and resources can be found 24/7 on our website.

National Friends of the Library Week is October 19-25, 2025!

Libraries are so thankful for Friends. Our Friends groups make equipment, books, holiday decorating, refreshments, programs, and more possible in all of the CMRLS Libraries.

If you are interested in working with a group to support your Library and better your community, a Friends to Your Library is what you want to be! Annual membership begins as low as $2 for students.

Ask the staff at your library for information and become a Friend to your Library.

Are you looking for a safe place to celebrate Halloween or Harvest Time with your little ones? Be sure to check your library events at right and then take a look at the Events Calendar for even more holiday events near you.

Check out these Halloween themed songs on Freegal or use our own CMRLS Creepy Music Playlist! With your library card, you have access to free streaming and 5 legal downloads a month on Freegal Music!

Jessica's News
I am so thankful we have started having cooler evenings. It is so nice to go home, sit in the back yard, and just relax. I have decorated for fall and Halloween and love to just sit and enjoy it. I have been craving different soups. I love to make home made vegetable soup with hamburger meat in it.  I usually freeze my leftover already seasoned vegetables and save them especially for soup season! It makes it taste so much better.  If you have a favorite soup recipe that your family raves about, stop by and share your recipe with me for me to try on my family.
I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween. Try not to eat too much candy!
