August is Back-to-School Month!
 
Start the academic year on the right foot by visiting the library. We offer a wide range of resources for students, parents, and lifelong learners. Family and Children Programs
 Introducing the Lap Sit Story Time! This story time is geared towards our youngest patrons with a suggested age range of 0 - 24 months. We will focus on reading simple books and sensory play to help your youngsters get an early love for learning. 
 
 
 Our August Pre K Story Time is themed for Back to School. Each week we will have stories related to school along with a craft. 
 
 
 
Calling all brick building enthusiasts! We have two dates in August for our Lego Club. All ages are welcome, and we have larger sized building bricks for our younger builders.   
 
 
 
 The Scott County Chess Club will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, August 2. All levels of players are welcome to join or watch the matches. 
 
Teens
Don't be a couch potato, come bake with us instead. We will be making potato based bread for our Teen Activity in August.  
 
 
Adult & Senior Adult
Do you like to read romance books? If so join us for a Romance Book Club Interest Meeting. We will be discussing how we would like to see this book club work and what everyone is interested in. Due to the content of the books this book club is strictly 18+ only.
 
 
 
 The Friends of the Forest Public Library is hosting an interest meeting to get our friends group back up and running. We will be discussing potential projects, leadership, and goals of the Friends of the Forest Public Library. 
 
Introducing the Forest Public Library's traditional Book Club. This book club will take place once a month and we will have open discussions about the book and vote on the next month's read. A copy of the book can be picked up at the circulation desk. 
 
 
Calling local Crafters! Create & Connect at the Forest Public Library will be meeting August 16. Bring a current craft project to work on or just come to chat with other crafty people. 
 
 The Find Your Shelf Book Club will be reading books by Mississippi Authors for August. You can pick up a book at the library from our display or choose another author you like.
