All CMRLS Libraries will be closed Friday, February 6, for Team Development. Regular library hours will resume on Saturday, February 7, for branches with regular Saturday hours. All CMRLS Libraries will be closed on Monday, February 16, for a federal holiday. Regular Library hours will resume on Tuesday, February 17. Happy Valentine's Day from CMRLS! February is Library Lovers Month! This month celebrates YOU and your love for the library! Tell us why you love the library—whether it is because you were able to study in silence for that big test, it is where you found your next big adventure in that thrill-seeking book, you saved hundreds by using the resources at the library, or you used the computers to help you score that amazing job! This month, be sure to tell your community and elected officials why you LOVE the library and why it is important in your life. 
Every year, children and teens across Mississippi are encouraged to vote for their favorite books in the Magnolia Book Award, with titles grouped into four age categories. Voting takes place in February, so be sure to visit your local library to check out these books and cast your vote! Preschool Story Time: Each Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., we have our Preschool Story Time. This program is a wonderful way to introduce your young child to others their age. We read stories, sing songs, and engage in activities that help promote your child's development. For February, we will be reading books that help to celebrate Library Lovers Month.  Homeschool Hour: This month, for our Homeschool Hour program, we will be visited by a lawyer who will be telling us all about their job and what it takes to become one. The meeting will be on February 20 at 10:00 a.m. Lego Club: Lego Club will be meeting on February 3 and 17 at 5:00 p.m. This program is open to all ages, as we have blocks of all sizes for builders to use. Family Fun Day: Show how much you love someone with a homemade Valentine's card. On February 14 at 10:00 a.m., we will have a program for the entire family to come create their very own Valentine Card. The library will provide all the supplies, you just have to bring yourselves! |

Teen Advisory Board: The Teen Advisory Board meets once a month and is a way for the teens in our community to work with library staff to create programs and other things that they want to see in the library just for teens. The meeting will be on February 17 at 4:30 p.m. Teen Book Club: For February's Teen Book Club, we are reading short books or novellas - a short book for a short month. Teens can choose whatever book they want to read and discuss. The meeting will be on February 23 at 4:30 p.m. |

Retired Readers Book Club: The Senior Book Club is reading a book we love this month. That means that readers pick one they love and come talk about the reason they love it in our discussion on Tuesday, February 10, at 2:00 p.m.  Tech Tuesday: This Tech Tuesday is all about emails. We will be going over how to create an email, as well as how to use it and the features that you may have access to. This Tech Tuesday will be on February 17 at 1:00 p.m. Movie Mondays: For our Movie Mondays this month, we will be playing "Green Book" on February 9 at 11:00 a.m., and then on February 23 at 11:00 a.m., we will be showing "Remember the Titans." |
