April 19-25 is National Library Week!
This year's theme is "Find Your Joy" and features Honorary Chair Mychal Threets, new host of children's program "Reading Rainbow!"

National Library Week is a time to celebrate our nation's libraries, library workers' contributions, and promote library use and support.
We are super excited and are celebrating all month long with a CMRLS Library Crawl, a fun month-long event where participants visit different libraries and collect stamps in a passport while exploring programs, resources, and communities!
Stamps = entries for some exciting prizes!!
Check your library's calendar for a list of fun events!
Birth to 12 years
Preschool Story Time: Takes place each Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Each story time is created to help young children develop an early love for reading while also working on learning or enhancing their skills through crafts, dance, and songs.

Homeschool Hour: April's Homeschool Hour will be the last one for the summer, as the library is gearing up for our Summer Library Program. In this program, we will be decorating our own pots and planting our own seeds in a springtime-themed craft. This event will be April 17 at 10:00 a.m.

Family Fun Day: Show off your brick building skills in our Lego Brick Building contest! This program was supposed to take place earlier in the year, but it was canceled due to the weather. Builders will have their creations displayed in the display case for library visitors to vote on.

Lego Club: Will be on April 7 and April 21 this month at 5:00 p.m. in our large meeting room. This month, we will be working on our skills and building animals out of Legos. There will be printed guides available that can be followed, or you can let your imagination run wild.

Teens
Teen Advisory Board: Join other teens as we discuss some programs you want to see the library host. There will be light refreshments available and a craft too.

Adult & Seniors
Tech Classes: In place of our Tech Tuesdays, we will be moving towards one-on-one style technology lessons. This will allow staff to be able to help you with what you want to learn about your device or what skills you may be interested in enhancing. For questions or to sign up for a lesson, you can either call the Forest Public Library or you can stop by in person.

Retired Readers: Our Retired Readers are reading comedy books for the month of April. Readers are encouraged to read a book of their choosing, as long as it made them laugh, and join us for an active discussion.

Page to Table Book Club: Introducing our newest book club at the Forest Library! This is a cookbook book club where each month we will have a theme and cookbooks to match. To participate, stop by the circulation desk to pick out your cookbook. Then pick a recipe in the book and bring it to share at our meeting.

Movie Monday: Our first Movie Monday in April is going to be Steel Magnolias on April 13 at 11:00 a.m.
Movie Monday: Our second Movie Monday in April is going to be Superman on April 27 at 11:00 a.m.
Light refreshments will be provided for these programs.
