Monday, April 10: Right to Read Day, a day for readers, advocates, and library lovers to take action to protect, defend, and celebrate the right to read. Tuesday, April 21: National Library Workers Day, a day for library staff, users, administrators, and Friends groups to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers. Wednesday, April 22: National Library Outreach Day, a day to celebrate library outreach and the dedicated library professionals who are meeting their patrons needs where they are. This was not a book that I would have picked for myself. I read it after a friends recommended it with a reference to it being her "Where the Crawdads Sing" of 2026. |

 April 19-25 is National Library Week! This year's theme is "Find Your Joy" and features Honorary Chair Mychal Threets, new host of children's program "Reading Rainbow!" National Library Week is a time to celebrate our nation's libraries, library workers' contributions, and promote library use and support.
We are super excited and are celebrating all month long with a CMRLS Library Crawl, a fun month-long event where participants visit different libraries and collect stamps in a passport while exploring programs, resources, and communities!
