November 14, 2017 | 1:00pm - 2:00pm (MT) Wanting others to change their behavior is only natural, especially when that behavior is negatively impacting the results of our organization and the team. However, a singular focus on changing behavior will bring disappointing results, because it fails to address what is driving behavior, mindset.
During this presentation, we will look at how the behaviors we engage in and the results that are possible are a direct function of our prevailing mindset. We will begin by exploring two fundamentally different and crucial mindsets at work, the inward, and the outward mindset. During the presentation, we will look at case studies, diagrams, and draw on over 30 years of experience from the Arbinger Institute in order to help participants change their mindset and transform their results.

Social media is the perfect platform for getting your information out there! If your community follows you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., then they will see it. It’s less invasive than an email, plus you can send more than one without being too overbearing. By doing this, you are inadvertently building your community. Now you have to direct your posts toward stakeholders. Do this by creating a strong call to action that will communicate your cause to them. Social media is great for actions, too. Asking for donations and volunteers is easy because it’s so widespread. You’re reaching people you’ve never met without doing a lot of heavy lifting!

In this humorous and insightful presentation, Martin takes us from exploding out of the blocks to hitting your stride, and finally to passing the baton to the next wave of change makers. Martin is passionate about making a difference in the world, and inspiring others to do the same. He lives by his adage, “In life you don’t have to do much but you have to do something.”
In 2010, following a 25-year career in mining, Martin started his "Quests for Kids" initiative. Over the next five years he completed 10 "Quests".
