also a time to reflect and learn about the continuing fight for equality for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals across the globe.

CCI Yearbooks needed for

Shout out to all CCI Grads! Our Genealogy department is looking to the community for specific CCI Yearbooks missing
in our archives.
 
Suzanne would love to have Gleaners from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. From then on she is missing the following
years: 1962, 1969, 1980, 1986, 1989 and 2005, as well as, yearbooks after 2011.

Join Albert Crimi, from Quantum Journeying Hypnosis, expert in Quantum Journeying & Past Life Regression Therapy. Albert aims to give people their power back by prompting the subconscious mind via hypnosis to set free its natural healing powers, helping them go forward in life without blocks.
 
Quantum Journeying hypnosis uses deep states of hypnosis to access the higher mind and neutralize negative beliefs, trauma, and physical ailments; or simply to understand why life is playing out the way it is. Albert wishes to bring healing change and peace to his clients.

Faux Stained Glass Art
"Hummingbird of Hope"
Friday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. Freeschools room.
All welcome 16 yrs +
 
Using a faux stained-glass technique, participants will create vibrant hummingbird art. The hummingbird, a symbol of hope and perseverance, represents freedom and positivity. This project allows participants to express their creativity while connecting to the theme of resilience.

Fierte Simcoe Pride program continues as a monthly drop-in with a new name. Every third Wednesday, for all looking for a supportive space to explore their identity, express themselves, and build community.

Join author Arlene F. Marks for the launch of her latest book release, Remains To Be Seen. A sequel to her earlier paranormal mystery, Weekends Can Be Murder, Remains To Be Seen takes place in Groverton, Ontario, a fictional town on the shore of Georgian Bay that (not coincidentally) shares many characteristics with Collingwood, including a museum that occupies the former train station and a beautiful modern library. The book introduces a main character who works at that library.

SUSAN SWAN is a Toronto novelist and non-fiction writer and a professor emerita at York University.
Her books include The Wives of Bath, The Biggest
Modern Woman of the World, What Casanova Told Me, The Western Light and Stupid Boys Are Good to Relax
With. She is also co-founder of the Carol Shields
Prize for Fiction, the largest literary prize for women
and non-binary writers in Canada and the United
States. Recently awarded the Order of Canada,
Susan Swan lives in Toronto.
JULIE MANNELL has written for The Toronto Star,
The National Post, The Huffington Post, an author of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and has been featured
in various radio television programs. She holds an MFA
in creative writing from the University of Guelph where
she received the HarperCollins and Constance Rooke scholarships.She has won the Lionel Shapiro Award for excellence in creative writing (fiction) and the Mona Adilman Prize in Poetry. In 2017, she was named one
of the top 30 poets under 30 by In/Words Magazine.
Mannell grew up in Fonthill, Ontario and spent nearly
a decade in Montreal. She currently lives in Toronto.

Pirate Treasure Hunt

Ahoy, mateys!
Set sail on a treasure hunt through the library.
Follow clues, visit landmarks & uncover the buried treasure hidden at the end of the map.
Pick up your first clue in the children’s area.
Once you find the treasure, submit a ballot for a chance to win a prize. Two draws will occur! All ages.
 
TD Summer Reading Program

Prize system:
* 15 mins of reading = colour in a dot

Julie Flett's book Let's Go! (haw ekwa!) will be installed, and a guided tour offered on the 18th at 10:30 a.m. at the Harbourview Arboretum. Enjoy some fresh air and a story!
 
The book signs will remain up throughout the summer for the community to enjoy at their leisure.

Community Card Project

Youth can drop in and make cards or take kit home to earn 1/2 hr of volunteer time, for the next school year, per completed card: birthday, anniversary, thank you, congratulations and everything in between! Once your project is complete, leave it in the display case in the foyer for someone to take, and/or choose a card for your own occasion!

Art in Motion: Bev & Joyce Morgan
Starts July 5 & runs until August 28, 2025
 
Mother and daughter's first exhibition together. They wish to relay movement either on paper or metal. Unique and original wall art will leave the viewer with memories of hands in motion, and discovery of how light moves on the surface of a metal form.
