Jillian will discuss some of her poetry, and the process involved. This will also be an opportunity for those who would like to join our new poetry writing group. This new group will potentially meet monthly, the second Tuesday of the month, beginning in May (if the demand is there).

Georgian Bay Author Event Wasaga Beach Library - Jane Pritchard Wednesday, April 17 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. In-person event at Wasaga Beach Library, our literary partner. Jayne Pritchard discusses her book Breast Cancer – After the Diagnosis: One Woman’s Story of Overcoming Setbacks. Jayne Pritchard is known to many as a familiar face as former anchor at CTV News Barrie. Jayne will share her story as a cancer survivor and her knowledge gathered along the way including how traditional Western medicine and alternative therapies both have a place and can support each other.

Author Talk - Arlene F. Marks Saturday, April 27 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Join local author, Arlene F. Marks, as she discusses her recent release The Bloodstone. A New Generation of Essence Vampires Stars in Science Fiction Novel. The Bloodstone is a standalone to the Earthborn, released in May 2023. Picking up the story sixteen years after the events of the Earthborn, this second book in the series tells a tale of the immigrant experience through the lens of science fiction and humour.

Genealogy for Beginners *book 30 min. coaching sessions for free During an appointment, patrons can learn how to: - Navigate the Collingwood Public Library’s Local History Department and access its collections.
- Use the library’s birth, death, and marriage index to access local newspaper notices on microfilm.
- Set up an account with AncestryLibrary.ca and/or FamilySearch.org and use those databases to conduct family history research.
- Start building a family tree!

Blood on the Clocktower Tuesday, April 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception for courageous players and one devious storyteller.
Each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. For youth and younger adults.
