CPL Cafe Monday to Friday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Drop by the kiosk near the children's area on the first floor. We offer a variety of hot drinks and snacks. Pricing is on a donation basis to ensure everyone can afford to access it, and all proceeds will go back into keeping the service operating for the future. In addition to providing library visitors with a refreshing beverage and snack, this initiative provides an excellent opportunity to E3 Community Services volunteers for personal development and community inclusion.

Cross Dressing and Cross Stitching with Gila Munster Friday, July 12 from 10:00 to 12:30 pm Drag Queen and textile artist Gila Munster will guide participants through basic cross stitch techniques to create a candy heart design pattern with the option to customize. Beginner friendly and kits will be provided.

Don't Be a Drag, Be a Queen Friday, July 12 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Don’t Be a Drag, Be a Queen is a presentation about the history of drag, the current landscape, drag terminology, and Gila’s views on drag as a tool for community building, identity realization and activism. This presentation also includes Gila’s “toolkit of allyship” with practical tips for the 2SLGBTQIA+ allies to support their queer friends and family.

Genealogy for Beginners *book 30 min. coaching sessions for free During an appointment, patrons can learn how to: - Navigate the Collingwood Public Library’s Local History Department and access its collections.
- Use the library’s birth, death, and marriage index to access local newspaper notices on microfilm.
- Set up an account with AncestryLibrary.ca and/or FamilySearch.org and use those databases to conduct family history research.
- Start building a family tree!

Youth Summer Reading Club Tuesday, July 2 - Friday, August 30 It's Summer! Why not relax with a good book (or 25)? Come by the Youth Services Department to get your Youth Summer Reading Bingo Card, and start turning pages! It's so easy: check off the squares as you read, and record the titles on the back of the Bingo Card. Each time you complete a line, come into the library and get a prize bag! If you're extra amazing and complete the whole card, you will be eligible to win one of three $100 Amazon gift cards!

Community Card Project
Youth can drop in and make cards or take kit home to earn 1/2 hr of volunteer time per completed card: birthday, anniversary, thank you, congratulations and everything in between! Once your project is complete, leave it in the display case in the foyer for someone to take, and/or choose a card for your own occasion!

July & August 2024 Ebb & Flow by Barbara-Jean Lovell Art Walk (main floor) Working mainly in acrylic, her subject matter varies continuously as she works toward her own specific style. Barbara-Jean paints with the intention of connecting the viewer, subject and artist. Moving freely from animals to landscapes, florals and a dabble in abstract, express her love of colour.

Trails Travelled Bridge Gallery (upstairs) Cameron enjoys travelling trails and paths with camera in hand. He captures some amazing photographic images in nature in Collingwood and surrounding areas.
