Tabletop Roleplaying Game Night Monday, March 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room Tabletop roleplaying games are games traditionally played with pen, paper, and dice. Players create characters, take on challenges with combat or social skills, and collaboratively shape a story. We meet once a month, and new players are always welcome! If you're a DM and would like to participate, let us know, so we can help get you set up! Painting Wood Gnome Ornaments Saturday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room Get ready for some gnome-tastic fun! Families are invited to paint wooden gnome ornaments and bring these silly, charming characters to life with bright colors and creative designs. Mix, match, and make your gnome totally unique—no painting skills needed. All supplies are provided, and everyone leaves with a happy little gnome to decorate your home or gift to someone special.

Doll-Making Workshop with Kristen Price Monday, March 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the Small Conference Room Learn how to securely attach the head, arms, and legs, and shape your doll for a solid, well-balanced form. With step-by-step guidance from Kristen Price, you’ll transform your handmade pieces into a fully assembled doll that’s ready for the next stage. Flowood Evening Book Club Monday, March 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the Small Conference Room Our next book discussion will be for Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir! This is a fast-paced sci-fi adventure with a sense of humor, and it has something for everyone! The movie adaptation releases on March 20, and we're planning on an unofficial meetup to see it. For details on that, feel free to contact us at the Flowood Library! As always, check cloudLibrary and hoopla for audio and eBook versions of Project Hail Mary. We have multiple physical copies at our branch!  3D Modeling to 3D Print for Beginners Saturday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room If you're an adult interested in 3D printing but aren't sure where to begin making your own models to print, this is a great place to start! Milo Babbs, an experienced 3D print hobbyist, will be dropping by to show you how it works, particularly with the program FreeCAD. No experience is required; it's easier than you think!

Drop by for our Tech Help Hour for some one-on-one assistance, such as signing up for an email or social media, learning new apps, using library resources, and more. All you need to do is bring your device! Please note: While we are excited to offer any assistance we can, we cannot repair hardware or fill out any online forms for you.

Cherry Blossom Season Late February - End of May Starting in early March, our library will be decorated with cherry blossom trees, decorated by our library staff! Some of the origami flowers were also made by our local crafters in our Create & Connect group! Feel free to drop by and take pictures with our little slice of Washington D.C. and Japan here at the Flowood Library. Freedom Riders Exhibit March - May Drop by the Flowood Library to learn about the Freedom Riders and their amazing story of protest against segregation! This exhibit was loaned to us by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History as part of a traveling exhibit. Thank you, MDAH! Also, don't forget to sign our guestbook at the exhibit while you're here and let us know the most interesting thing you learned to be entered into a drawing for a Barnes & Noble gift card!
