All CMRLS Libraries and the Administrative Office will close Tuesday, December 23, either at their regular hours or at 6:00 p.m. for the Christmas holiday. Regular library hours will resume Monday, December 29.
 
All CMRLS Libraries and the Administrative Office will close Wednesday, December 31 at 4:00 p.m. for the New Year's holiday. Regular library hours will resume Monday, January 5.
 
Digital media and resources can be found 24/7 on our website.

A Visit with Santa

at 10:30 a.m. in the Large Meeting Room
 
Bring the whole family and celebrate the season with a magical visit from Santa Claus! Kids can share their holiday wishes, take photos with Santa, and enjoy a cozy, festive atmosphere filled with holiday cheer. Don't forget your camera!
 
All ages are welcome! Registration is required for pictures. Santa's workshop will be open until 12 p.m.

Bingo for Books is back for another fun hour of bingo, snacks, and of course, books! Everyone will go home with a book, and if you're lucky, many more!

Large Meeting Room
 
You’ll bring your creation to life by assembling all the parts made in the first session. Learn how to securely attach the head, arms, and legs, and shape your doll for a solid, well-balanced form. With step-by-step guidance from Kristen, you’ll transform your handmade pieces into a fully assembled doll that’s ready for the next stage.
 
All materials are provided—just bring your creativity! If you took your doll parts home from previous parts, bring those too!

Secret Santa Edition

Hey adult crafters! We're hosting a special Christmas season Secret Santa event for our meetups this month. Participation is completely optional--you can still come and hang out and enjoy the festivities! Participants will get a chance to talk to the other members and get an assigned secret person. You will get to give your gift at the second meetup!
 
If you would like to participate, you must attend the first meeting. Rules on the gifts will be discussed at our first meetup for the month.
 
 
Billy Summers by Stephen King
Flowood Evening Book Club
Monday, December 8
at 6:00 p.m. in the Small Conference Room
 
We will be discussing Billy Summers by Stephen King, a crime novel about a killer for hire who only picks villains as targets. Only thing is: he needs one last hit to get out of the business. What could go wrong?

Handmade Gifts: Alcohol Ink Coasters Workshop

at 1:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room
 
If you're an adult looking for a creative outlet this holiday season, we will be holding a workshop to make alcohol ink coasters! You can make one as a gift for friends, family, or just yourself! No experience necessary.
 
All supplies will be provided, but will be first-come, first-serve. If you would like to make sure a coaster is reserved for you, feel free to register at the Flowood Library!
