MC Video Fest

See awesome aerial views of the lake, harbor, and city! See Pinocchio released from his strings! See postcards from Michigan City’s past come alive! All at the 4th annual Michigan City Video Fest, October First Friday weekend. Because of the variety of entries this year, the Michigan City Public Library will host the showing of shorter videos with a more local flavor. Many of the video makers will be available for comments and questions. A short preview video and a complete list of videos to be shown are available at MCVideoFest.com and on Facebook at MCVideoFest.

Join us as we celebrate Pokemon Go Community Day every month! The library pokestop will have a lure placed on it by staff, and there will be Pokemon-themed giveaways while supplies last.

The Needle Arts League of Michigan City promotes all forms of needle arts. Membership is open to anyone interested in needle arts such as crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch, crewel, tatting, and other hand stitching. All skill levels and ages are welcome. 1,000 Books before Kindergarten
Register at any time for this free program designed to promote language development and a love of reading in young children. Your child will receive a special surprise (choice of an age-appropriate book or CD) for each set of 100 books that are read to them (or that they read on their own). For children ages birth through entering kindergarten.
