Book-o-Ween Storybook Pumpkin Decorating Contest - 4th Annual!

Families are invited to decorate a pumpkin (real or artificial) inspired by their favorite children’s storybook character or scene. Paint it, dress it, bedazzle it — just no carving!
 
Bring your literary creation to life and drop it off at the library by October 22. Pumpkins will be displayed for all to enjoy, and winners will be chosen by community vote!

Stop by the library for full contest rules and entry details.
Voting runs from October 23-30, 2025.

Smyrna Memorial Cemetery Tour

Museum Manager, Jennie Eldredge will lead you on a tour of a historic Smyrna cemetery. Hear tales of Smyrna's past and learn about the lives of previous residents.
 
Note: Cemetery grounds are not paved and can be uneven.

Jeffrey Albertson, of the Atlanta Typewriters Club, will delve into the history and impact of typewriters during World War II, especially the use of typewriters in journalism. Attendees will also be able to try out vintage typewriters.
