Enjoy a hotdog and a drink, tap your toes to the music, and join in on some friendly lawn games. Whether you’re coming with friends, family, or just yourself, this is the perfect way to enjoy the park and connect with the community.

Hands-On Fun
Messy play, big learning!

This monthly program is designed for kids aged 3–6 (older siblings welcome!) to explore, create, and get a little messy — all while building fine motor skills and sparking S.T.E.A.M learning.

Parents are asked to stay and enjoy the fun too — we handle the cleanup!

Our first fall session features an Outdoor Explorer theme, using a special Nature Kit from YRL. We’ll be bug-hunting, birdwatching, plant-spotting, and more as we explore the park and discover the world around us.

Chapter Chat
Buzz into September’s pick!

This month, we’re reading The Bees by Laline Paull — a gripping dystopian tale set entirely within a beehive. Follow Flora 717, a sanitation worker bee born into the lowest caste, as she defies the rigid rules of her hive society. With unique abilities and a rebellious spirit, Flora uncovers secrets, faces danger, and challenges the very structure of her world. It’s The Handmaid’s Tale meets Watership Down — imaginative, intense, and unforgettable.

Stop by the library to pick up your copy, or listen to the audiobook on Libby through our digital collection.

Bonus! This pick checks off a box in Brandi’s Reading Challenge — so if you're participating, now’s a great time to join in!

What a Summer!
Our Co-op Summer Reading Club was packed with creativity, learning, and laughter — from making fruit kabobs to tackling puzzles, exploring electricity, creating art, and even testing our aim in the cherry pit spit!

A huge thank-you to everyone who joined the fun. Special thanks to Eva, our amazing summer student, for bringing energy and enthusiasm to every session; to Co-op for their support; and to the BC Fruit Truck for the delicious cherries.
We couldn’t have done it without you, and we can’t wait to see what next summer brings!
