Inter-Library Delivery Update: The Connecticut State Library is currently operating the "DeliverIt System" on a much reduced level. Please contact us and we will work with you to connect you with the items you need. Our regional library consortium has lifted the 5 hold limit so library users can place holds on more than 5 items. Quick Tips: - If you need an item immediately that another library has available, you may want to go to that library directly and pick up the item. Cora J. Belden Library Information Staff can guide you in identifying owning libraries and contacting the library for you.
- If you check out items at another library, we ask that you return the items directly to the owning library.
The Governor’s Executive Order Resource Allocation Plan Fiscal Year 2018, the budget that the State is currently operating under, reduces the State Library budget by another 18%, eliminating funding for the Connecticut Library Consortium and cutting the funding for researchIT, the statewide digital library, in half. We are hoping that funding is restored for - Connecticut Library Consortium (CLC). Last year, Cora J. Belden Library saved thousands and thousands of dollars on library materials and services from its membership in CLC.
- Funds for the Statewide Digital Library (researchIT) that includes access to the Hartford Courant and the historical Hartford Courant.
- Funds for deliverIT, the statewide delivery service that transports materials between libraries.
- Funds for borrowIT reimbursements to libraries for loaning materials to other libraries in the state.
Connecticut public libraries serve everyone from cradle to grave.
