50+ Writing Challenge: Summer 2018Entrants are invited to submit poetry, a short story or reminiscence. Only one entry per category, but writers may enter all three categories. No entry fee! Details: Entries are to be posted to, or handed in at the circulation desk of the Okotoks Public Library on or before August 31st. All entries need to be typed, double spaced, printed on one side only using Times New Roman 12 font. The identity of the writer is not to appear anywhere on the poem, short story or reminiscence. Please submit author's name & contact details on a separate page. - Poetry: one poem, no longer than 32 lines
- Short Story: a maximum of 850 words
- Reminiscence: based on personal experience, no longer than 850 words
Winners will be declared at a special prize-awarding ceremony to be held at the library in October. All entrants will be invited to attend. Start Writing!

Feed Your Passions Magic Show All Ages Friday, June 29, 2:00 - 3:00 PM No cost. Drop-in. Arrive early as space is limited. This family friendly interactive comedy magic show will help kids find & explore their passions & encourage them to share their delight with others along with way! All young readers who attend the program will get a free magic activity poster & a magic trick giveaway that will help them feed their passions even more!
