Dear Readers, If you haven't signed up for summer reading yet, do so today! It's easy! Just stop by the library and visit us or click on this link (https://jenningslib.beanstack.org/reader365) to sign up online right this minute. We're reading together as a community to reach a 1,000,000 minute goal this summer. At 250,000 minutes we'll unlock popcorn, drinks, and music for our end of the summer celebration. At 500,000 minutes we'll add outdoor games like bocce ball, corn hole, and giant Jenga. The North Vernon Lions Club will be sponsoring a dunk tank for us so you can take turns dunking me and some of the other librarians once we reach 750,000 minutes. If we are able to reach our full goal of 1,000,000 minutes, we'll also add a giant bouncy house obstacle course big enough for kids and adults to our Closing Celebration to be held on Saturday, July 29th. And, if we read more than 1,000,000 minutes, you can toss a pie in my face, too! Sign up and get to reading! Don't forget to come check out the updates to the children's department, too! It's looking really good. I can't wait for it to be finished! Happy Reading! Miss Annie |
