US 50 Yard Sale and Friends Book Sale Friday & Saturday, May 19 & 20 8:00 am - 6:00 pm This weekend is the US 50 Yard Sale and once again, it's supposed to rain. But we've got you covered! Sharks Alive! Build a Better World Summer Reading Kick-Off Party Monday, May 22, 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm Conference Room 1 & 2 & 3 Join us at the library for this one-of-a-kind, don't want to miss event for our Summer Reading Kick-Off. The Friends of the Library presents: "Newport Aquarium & Sharks in the Library"! The aquarium will do two shows that evening - one at 4 pm and another at 6 pm. Make sure while you are here for the sharks that you get signed up for our Summer Reading Program.

Tuesday, July 11, 2:00 pm Make a difference! Join us as we build a better world by making pillowcase dresses for girls in Africa. Donations of standard and king size pillowcases are needed. Everyone is invited to help us make these sweet dresses for a great cause!

Upcycle Books Wednesday, June 28, 2:00 pm & 6:00 pm Wednesday, July 19, 2:00 pm & 6:00 pm In June we will make refrigerator magnets and roses using book pages. And in July we will make adorable snowmen made from paperback books! Registration is required 3 days before each program.
