Youth Programming Break During August, our Youth Librarians take a break from programming to recharge, and to prepare for the new school year and next year of programs. Please check our calendar regularly to view programs taking place during this month. Our full schedule of Youth Programming will resume in September.

Join seniors like you every Monday, starting August 4, for an hour of gathering and sharing about getting older. We will focus on a different topic each week. All seniors are welcome--no registration necessary.

This 4-session series is an opportunity to evaluate your skills, talents and experiences through a new lens as well as arm you with the strategies, resources and confidence to support you in approaching and succeeding in today’s job market. Series registration required.

This moving and powerful film will be screened to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the CZU fire. Actors use the words of people who fought the fires and those who lost their homes, speaking about evacuating, losing homes and possessions, battling with insurance companies, and getting community support. There will also be a CZU Fire Community Memory Table (please feel free to bring a picture or item to contribute).

Storywalks promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time together. It’s a fun and educational family activity that you can bring to your community! Take a stroll and enjoy successive pages from a children’s story along your path. Once you're done, check in with the front desk for a prize! Taking place August 11th through 16th.

Get an update from State Parks staff on the status of Big Basin Redwoods State Park and plans to rebuild the park after the park burned in the CZU Fire almost five years ago. Staff will share the vision for rebuilding, plans for rebuilding specific sites, plans for shuttle access to the park, and an update on visiting the park now and during the next several years before rebuilding is completed.
