Two Library Board Seats on the Ballot
Approximately 115,000 voters live in the Community Library Network district’s boundaries. They will have an opportunity to vote for two Board of Trustees seats on May 18th.
The Role of a Trustee
Trustees oversee specific duties and powers listed in Idaho Code, Title 33 (Education), Chapter 27 (Public Library Districts) while maintaining consistency with the laws of the state of Idaho. This includes establishing policies for the public library system. A portion of the Trustees tasks is to create an annual strategic plan which guides the library’s action of its mission.

Who is on the Ballot
Incumbents, Michele Veale and Robert Fish, hold Community Library Network Board seats which are up for re-election. Michele Veale has been a board member since 2010. Rober Fish has served since 2017.
Joining them in running for the two available 6-year terms are new candidates Vanessa Robinson and Rachelle Ottosen.
