Our New Children's Activity Center Opens in the Silver Lake Mall!
 
The Little Discovery Corner is a children's early learning space for families. It opens October 9th in the Silver Lake Mall!
 
Enjoy STEAM activities with your child and take home a complimentary book.
 
This space is provided by the Community Library Network and hosted by the Silver Lake Mall. It is funded in large by a grant by the Idaho Future Fund from the Idaho Community Foundation.

Fill the Bus!
October 10, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 
October 11, 2020 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
Riverbend Place, Post Falls (Outlet Mall)
 
The Community Library Network and Magic Bus Spokane are hosting a “Fill the Bus” donation event at Riverbend Place in Post Falls to benefit Kootenai Recovery Community Center. 
 
Food, sleeping bags, blankets, winter gear, socks, toothpaste and hygiene kits for all ages are needed to support families on the road to recovery.
 
The Magic Bus Spokane will play the music of classic hits from soul, folk, country and rock. Also enjoy the Library’s Discovery Bus and wave to our Highway Heroes in their big rigs and service vehicles!  See you there for fun and philanthropy!
 
 
Drive-Thru Halloween Party
October 28 at some library locations

Drive through your library parking lot to receive a special Halloween goody bag! Stay spooky & safe out there!

Kids Earn Prizes!

Join the Hallow-Read Spook-tacular Reading Challenge. Earn prizes for reading books and completing activities from October 1 through November 1.
 
Geared to ages 3-12. Read 600 minutes and earn a free book of your choice and complete 10 activities in the Autumn Nature Scavenger Hunt to be entered into the drawing for a Fall Family Fun Pack.

Bookmobile Now Visits Hauser!

We're excited to announce that our Bookmobile arrival at Hauser Lake, Hauser Fire Protection District is a big hit! We've added this location to our regular schedule across Kootenai County!

So Many New Things in Harrison!

Not only does our Harrison Library have a beautiful new, frontage sign, we have new hours too!
 
The Harrison Library is a community-centric space offering activities, community event partnerships, afterschool resources, and a place to gather with your reading friends. New library manager, Ani Matosian (pronounced ah-nee) has created new displays to interest readers, improved the children's reading space, 3D printed fun figurines for member purchase, and recently joined in Harrison's citywide Octoberfest!
