It’s Good Weather for Fudge by former Alabama poet laureate Sue Brannan Walker offers a biographical portrait of McCullers in a long-form poem rich in allusions to the writer's published works.
Dr. Walker imagines a conversation with McCullers, in which they share memories about growing up in the Deep South — McCullers in Georgia and Walker in South Alabama.
Dr. Sue Walker is a Professor Emerita at the University of South Alabama and was the Poet Laureate of Alabama from 2003-2012.
