Welcome to Fall! Don’t forget that the regular programs are still here, just waiting for you to come back from vacation. Check out the Wednesday Film Festival, Knitting, Crochet, etc. Game Night and all our other programs under the Events tab on the web site. In addition to the programs highlighted, stop by the Children’s Department for more spooky, themed fun! For older kids who have aged out of our preschool Halloween parade, we have a Halloween Fright Fun Party on Thurs. 10/30, with activities and crafts, costumes, and trick-or-treating in the library! We’ll also be showing Little Shop of Horrors as a matinee movie on Sunday, 10/12. We’ll be making Diwali- and Halloween-themed perler bead creations on 10/20, colorful marshmallow-popcorn balls (that you get to eat!) on 10/27, and various Halloween crafts during the week of Halloween. Finally, join us for music fun on Fridays at 10:30am, with Miss Kim and Miss Sarah, and dance parties with librarian Miss Jen. The last Thursday, 10/30, will feature a special Halloween storytime with Miss Kelsey! As a last bit of news, the fall/winter teen volunteers start in October. For those who wish to volunteer in the spring, keep an eye out for applications in late December.
