“Shakey -- An Evening with Neil Young (Almost)”, by Briz
Tuesday, February 17, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Come enjoy an acoustic show by “the most authentic Neil Young touring artist in the nation” as he performs Neil’s songs and explains the stories behind them. Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library.
CASA Information Session
Tuesday, February 17, 6:30 – 7:30 pm
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a network of volunteers assigned by a NJ Family Court Judge to provide advocacy services for children in the foster care system. CASA volunteers work with the child's caregivers (e.g., foster parents, school, state case worker, etc.) to ensure these children are receiving all the services they require and nothing is falling through the cracks. The purpose of this Information Session is to explain the role of a CASA volunteer, and to recruit additional volunteers for unassigned children in the foster care system.
Passport Event 
Thursday, February 19, 2:00 – 6:30 pm
Mercer County residents can apply for a new passport, renew an expired one, take a passport photo, or obtain a passport card—all in one location. Applicants must bring a current driver’s license and a government-issued birth certificate or an old passport. Payment must be made by check or money order, and both parents must be present for minors under the age of 16. Please call the County Clerk’s Passport Office at 609-989-6473 to schedule an appointment.

Children’s Concert with Ms. Kim
Friday, February 6, 10:30 am
Are you ready for a rollicking good time with Miss Kim?  She'll have your little ones hoppin' and boppin' along to her music in no time!  For ages 0-5 years, with a caregiver. Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library. No registration required.
Lunar New Year Festival
Saturday, February 7, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Join us in celebrating Lunar New Year and the Year of the Horse!  See traditional Lunar New Year dances performed by the Princeton Chinese Language School, a theatrical kung fu demo performed by the Bau Shu Fang Lian School of Shaolin Kung Fu, make a variety of crafts, play games, and enjoy some light snacks at different stations around the Library.  Fun for all ages! Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library. Registration is recommended due to limited space.
Family Game Night
Tuesday, February 24, 5:30 pm
It's family game night at the Library! We have a wide variety of board games to choose from. Stop in any time between 5:30-7:30pm, find something in the right age range for your children, and play a game of your choice together as a family. For all ages, youngest with a caregiver. Sponsored by the Friends of the West Windsor Library. No registration required.

Tax Help at the Library
Several MCLS branches are hosting free tax preparation from AARP Tax-Aide. Use the AARP Tax-Aide Locator to schedule an appointment. Search by your city or zip code to find available times at a location near you. If no appointments appear available, check back—cancellations open new slots regularly.
TrashedArt Contest
The TrashedArt Contest is back! Remake, reuse and renew the items you would recycle or throw in the trash into something unique and beautiful and rethink the usefulness of garbage. The contest celebrates Earth Day by encouraging patrons to turn ordinary trash into extraordinary art. Submit your artwork to the Lawrence Headquarters Branch between February 24th - March 3rd.

We’ve continued to add to our play area and book nook, with a new rug and some new educational toys. Stop by to check them out and play awhile!  For those looking for homework help or for tutoring experience, we have two opportunities: Study Buddies, a more structured program for teen tutors and younger tutees, and Drop-in Tutoring on Saturdays, led by students from West Windsor Plainsboro North’s HS Tutoring Society.  Teen summer volunteer applications should be available starting in March.  Finally, thank you and congratulations to all who participated in our Winter Reading Bingo and Coloring Contest!
