Branch NewsWe’ve just planted (May 21 & 22) a Native Plant Garden along the front of the building. It’s going to take a while for it reach its full potential, but watching it get there will be fun! Also, if you would like to dive into some local plants for your own garden, stop by the Circ Desk and ask for a copy of the garden map and plant list. Summer is coming… and so is the annual Summer Reading Program! Visit the branch starting June 15th to register. Starting June 22nd, visit the library to receive a small prize or free book for keeping track of your minutes spent reading, and earn raffle tickets for a fun prize basket. The more you read, the more raffle tickets you earn! Additionally, we need teen helpers during the summer to assist with summer-related library tasks. The deadline for teen summer volunteer applications has passed (May 20th) but interested teens ages 14 and up may still apply to volunteer, though acceptance will be limited by the number of spots still available. Contact the Children’s Desk for more info. If you are looking for your favorite chapter-book series, we have shifted the more popular children’s series into their own aisle between the non-fiction and fiction sections. To help locate them visually, look for a picture of the main character(s) on the shelves!
