ESL Conversation Group
Tuesdays, June 3, 10, 17 & 24, 2:00 pm
Come to the Hopewell Branch for relaxed conversation in English. This program is ideal for speakers with Intermediate proficiency in English, though all are welcome. Join TESOL-certified librarian Chip McAuley to practice spoken English in a supportive, friendly environment. Registration is requested via https://events.mcl.org/
Open House: Washington Crossing Radio Control Flyers Association
Saturday, June 7, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
The Washington Crossing Radio Control Flyers Association will have a variety of model aircraft on display throughout the library. Members will be available to answer questions about building and flying model aircraft, as well as any inquiries about the association in general.  Registration is not required.
Juneteenth Transcription Event
Thursday, June 19, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Bring your laptop and learn how to transcribe historical documents for Freedom on the Move, a crowdsource database of fugitives from North American slavery. Early newspapers printed “runaway ads” by enslavers trying to capture those whom they considered their property. Digitizing these advertisements helps genealogists, historians, educators, students, and others to gain access to the stories of those seeking their freedom. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is requested via https://events.mcl.org/

Reading Rebels
Wednesday, June 11, 4:30 pm
Reading Rebels is a book club for adventurous kids in grades 4 - 6 who want to explore books using guided reading techniques and fun games. Led by two experienced teachers, this club will help readers build comprehension skills and find new books and authors. Registration is required.
Make Father’s Day Cards
Monday, June 9 & Tuesday, June 10, 4:00 pm
Saturday, June 14, 12:00 – 2:00 pm

Join us to create Father’s Day cards. For children ages 3- 8 years old. This is a drop-in program. Registration is not required.
Penguin Pointers with Jenkinson’s Aquarium
Wednesday, June 25, 6:30 pm
Join us for a special Meet and Greet with a penguin! In this program we will waddle into the world of penguin biology, geography, care, feeding, and conservation. Registration is required.

Create a letterhead and a document template. Use Mail Merge to create labels and form letters.

Summer Reading Program - Color Our World!
The MCLS Summer Reading Program is back! Registration begins Monday, June 16th and prizes will be handed out between Monday, June 23 and Saturday, August 9. Don't forget, the SRP is for all ages -- so we encourage everyone to get involved!
