Crafty Adults: Beginner Crochet for Lefties
Thursday, April 9, 2:00 pm
Are you lefthanded and want to learn the basics of crochet? Give this class with a lefthanded instructor a try! Kim, our reference librarian, has been crocheting for 7 years now and would be happy to help you get started with your first project. All supplies for the lesson are included. Only lefthanded instruction will be available. If you're interested and this date and time doesn't work for you, send an email to hiprogs@mcl.org. If there is enough interest for a different date and time we'll offer the class again.
Sponsored by the Hightstown Library Association. Registration is required.
Creative Coping Journaling:
A Practice for an Inspired Life
Wednesdays, April 15 & 29, 1:00 pm
Anyone looking for an inspirational and creative entry into journaling is invited to join this new writing group. We'll base our writings on curated journal entries from the Isolation Journals, the popular mindful journaling activity by Suleika Jaouad, author of "The Book of Alchemy." Led by Jessica Engelhart of JFCS of Greater Mercer County. You'll not be behind if you start with either of these sessions. In each session we'll read a journal prompt, consider what inspired it, write about it and discuss it. No experience in creative or journal writing is necessary. Feel free to bring a journal or notepad. Writing paper, pencils and pens will be available. Registration is encouraged.
