Quilling 101: Pansies
Tuesday, March 31, 2:30 pm
Discover how to turn simple-looking paper strips into beautiful art by paper quilling. Paper quilling involves paper strips that are rolled, looped, curled, and manipulated in other ways to produce and combine shapes to create designs. In this session, we’ll be working on basic shapes and techniques. With these techniques, we will make a beautiful greeting card featuring pansies. You can use this card for any occasion or frame it and give it as a gift to someone you love. Registration is required.

Oscars Predictions Contest
Stop in and take a guess at who you think will win an Oscar this year! Categories include Directing, Best Picture, Costume Design, Actress in a Leading Role, Actor in a Leading Role, Actress in a Supporting Role and Actor in a Supporting Role. Contest runs from March 2-14 at all MCLS branches. The winner will receive a $25 Fandango gift card! A downloadable ballot and more information are available at https://mcl.org/oscars-contest/.
TrashedArt Contest Voting!
TrashedArt Contest entries will be on display at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch starting Wednesday, March 4th. All MCLS branches will also display photographs of this year's entries. Patrons will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite by either visiting your local branch, or by voting online at https://mcl.org/events/trashedart/.
