Caregiver Support Group (Bilingual)
Tuesday, December 9, 12:00 – 1:30 pm
This is a safe space to share and to learn about ways caregivers can cope with their stress and concerns. Kat Verdi, MAT, CADDCT, facilitates and shares (in English and Spanish) many resources available; her mission is to educate, empower, and encourage. Sandwiches will be served. Registration is required.
Grupo de Apoyo para Cuidadores (Bilingüe)

Este es un espacio seguro para compartir experiencias y conocer estrategias que permitan a los cuidadores manejar el estrés y las preocupaciones asociadas con su labor. La Sra. Kat Verdi, MAT, CADDCT, dirige la sesión y ofrece (en inglés y en español) diversos recursos disponibles. Su misión es educar, empoderar y brindar aliento a los cuidadores. Se ofrecerán refrigerios. Es necesario inscribirse previamente con la bibloteca. 
Free Coding Resources
Tuesday, December 16, 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Learn about MCLS’s free coding resources with your library card. Features: Fiero Code, LinkedIn Learning, and Amazon Web Services Training Center. Choose your own tutorials and work at your own pace. Assistance is available for beginners. Please bring your own tablet or laptop, and headphones or earbuds. Registration is requested.
Free Eye Screening
Thursday, December 18, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Register for a free vision screening performed by a certified eye screener and an eye doctor. Presented by the NJ Department of Human Services’ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI). Registration is required; call 609-448-0957 or visit the Reference Desk.

Hickory Holiday Party
Thursday, December 4, 10:30 am
Children ages 5 and under are invited to join us for a festive celebration to kick off the season. Children’s musician Kim Yarson will perform an array of holidays songs and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to receive holiday wishes and take photos. Children will also decorate cookies and do a holiday scavenger hunt. Registration required for each participant.
Dreidel Time
Tuesday, December 16, 4:30 pm
It’s Hanukkah! Children ages 4 and up are welcome to come learn how to play the dreidel game with chocolate coins. Children will also make an edible dreidel with a marshmallow, pretzel stick and Hersey’s kiss.
Registration required for each participant.
Hoopy Holidays
Tuesday, December 30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00 or 3:30 pm
Children ages 5 and up are invited to join Angela from Color Me Hoopy for an interactive hula hoop experience.  We will have 4 small group sessions where Angela will demonstrate awesome hula hoop tricks then give the participants time to play with the hoops and scarves. Please select one time slot when registering. Registration required for each participant.

Winter Reading Program
Join us for this year's Winter Reading Program, which runs from December 15th through January 24th! Participants can take part in the reading program by playing our Winter Reading Bingo game! Complete activities to get five in a row (up, down, across, or diagonal). Then bring your Bingo sheet back to your local branch, where kids and teens will automatically receive a prize, and adults will be entered into a raffle for a prize!
