Starting on Memorial Day, the library will be closed on Sundays and closing at 3:00 pm on Saturdays in July & August. Message from our Children’s Librarian: How’s your summer reading going? Have you signed up for our “Adventure Begins at Your Library” Summer Reading Program?? There is still time! Our 2024 program concludes Saturday, 8/24. I hope you all have gotten in the spirit of our fun program and have gotten to read some really good books! Why not tell me about them? Stop by or e-mail me your great book recommendations. You’ll get an extra raffle ticket for your input…..and I know a few of you have your eyes on our great prizes: Outdoor Fun Bundle, Mystery Book Bundle, or the Percy Jackson Bundle perhaps? Scan the QR code below for our great prizes. I am sure there is something for you to choose from and don’t forget our weekly trivia on National Parks…..answer our questions and get an extra raffle ticket. This year’s theme “Adventure Begins at your Library” ties in with the theme of adventure & outdoors. Check out what events and programs are in store for you! Track your reading and win prizes all throughout the summer! Have you signed up at Readsquared? Paper logs are available at our Children's desk. The Bernards High School Summer Reading List is out! Stop by our YA section (upstairs) and get your teen a copy. Also available to check-out as audiobooks & e-books via our website www.dillonlibrary.org Tumblebooks have been added to our kids page, as well as to the Research Databases page under Young Readers, E-books, and Books and Literature. TumbleBooks are Story Books – Chapter Books/Read-Alongs – Non Fiction stories, plus Language Learning videos, puzzles & games created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music, and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, have your child read, or have it read to them. There are even books in foreign languages! TumbleBooks are GREAT for children and teens! ________ Our museum pass collection has expanded to now include admission to Insectropolis in Toms River!
