Registration for this date will begin the Monday before the event (Monday 11/17). NO REGISTRATION is needed for when Story Time will be hosted in the large, Community Room (11/6 & 11/13). Please go to www.dillonlibrary.org to register for each of your children attending as space is limited. You do not need to register for yourself (as the parent or caregiver / adult attending). ______________ November is Picture Book Month! This month-long celebration focuses on the importance of reading, writing and literature. Try a variety of authors and illustrators. Or look up a New Jersey author or illustrator: Brian Selznick (East Rutherford), Drew Sheneman (Bedminster), Airlie Anderson (Belle Mead), or Wende & Harry Devlin (married Scotch Plains Authors). How about a Wordless Picture book? Wordless books (those without the printed word) lead to more conversations and a richer vocabulary. Wordless books build the confidence in early readers and of reluctant readers as well. Plus, these type books are accessible to children and families who speak any language. Check out “Chalk” by Bill Thomson, “Journey” by Aaron Becker, “Robot Dreams” by Sara Vernon, or “Draw!” by Raul Colon. Happy Reading! __________________ Last month's "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" Raffle Winners were: Nate & Philip Both were VERY EXCITED to receive their Book Bundles & Theatre Tickets to see The Growing Stage's Show!!!
