April Special Programs

CAFE NOONER:
SANDY PUTNAM ON FRANCE'S LOUIS XIV "THE SUN KING"

He ruled France for 72 years. No European monarch has ever been so powerful, so interesting, so corpulent, and so it's said so sexually active. Or so important culturally by virtue of his championing, financing and completing France's finest ornament-- the Versailles Palace and Gardens. Putnam takes us through, followed by our good Professor Kloss examining the artistry of the many art treasures at Versailles.
