March is National Reading Month - a month to celebrate reading and literacy! But why celebrate National Reading Month?
Reading is a key part of learning, social development, and professional growth.

Reading improves your vocabulary, comprehension skills, critical thinking abilities, plus expands your overall knowledge by allowing you to learn new information about various topics.  Reading also reduces stress, enhancing empathy, and promoting better sleep by providing mental stimulation and a way to unwind.  Reading is essentially “exercises” your brain which also  expands your understanding of the world around you….WOW!!
It also honors Dr. Seuss's (Theodor Seuss Geisel) who’s birthday is March 2.

Pick up something fun – Pick up something new –
Pick up a book or two!

Check out the latest Award winning books: Newberry, Caldecott, Pura Belpre, Printz, Schneider, Garden State, and all your FAVORITE TOP BOOKS!
