Free to Read: Adult Reading Challenge Jun 3 - Aug 3 Celebrate the freedom to read at your library with the Free to Read Adult Summer Reading Challenge! Ever wanted to dip your toe into reading fantasy? Interested in joining one of our book clubs or attending one of our excellent programs? Your Largo Public Library provides a multitude of services, programs, and access to information for all—and, of course, books! Explore new genres, try out a new service, and read this summer to win. The Free to Read Adult Summer Reading Challenge will run from June 3rd through August 3rd, a great way to learn more about all the library has to offer. Stop by for your bingo card to explore and celebrate all things library and reading. Each Bingo (diagonal, vertical, or horizontal) will win you a branded Free to Read prize and an entry for our grand prize drawing. But what about those who didn't make it on to the ship for that fateful voyage? This is the little-known backstory of the heroes who allowed the Pilgrims the freedom to travel. Those who were imprisoned, leaders who were needed by the flock who couldn't go and even those who were afraid of taking the trip. These unsung heroes allowed the famous pilgrims to have their spotlight in history. Now we turn the spotlight on them. This will be a hybrid class held in-person in the Local History Room and online via Zoom. Registration is only required for Zoom attendees.
