Summer is almost here and this year your adventure starts at the library!
Beginning Tuesday, July 2 visit any Middlesex County Library to register. Teens ages 13-17 will also have the option of participating online. Then read, enjoy programs and activities, and earn ballots for our summer prize draws. All ages are invited to join the fun!

Summer Storytime
Most Middlesex County Libraries will be offering either weekly storytime, or special storytime events during the summer! Ask staff at your local branch, or check our online event calendar. |

Seniors Technology Skills Survey
Middlesex County Library is seeking feedback on technology skills and gaps for seniors in the County. Information gathered will be used to guide the development of future programming. This survey is open to adults 55 years of age or older that reside in Middlesex County (excluding the City of London).
Participants can choose to have their name entered in a prize draw, for a $25 gift card of their choice.

Cognitive Care Kits
Cognitive Care Kits are a support tool for the caregivers of people living with dementia. The kits are designed to help families connect through simple sorting, trivia, picture recognition and reading activities. Several themes are available based on personal interests (food, activities, animals, household items).
Anyone with a Middlesex County Library card in good standing can borrow a Cognitive Care Kit. Kits can be requested by emailing outreachservices@middlesex.ca or by asking library staff at your local branch for assistance.

Dementia Friendly Collection
These books are designed specifically for adults with dementia and are formatted for easy reading. They feature brightly coloured photos and use simplified language without being juvenile. The stories and pictures prompt conversation and sharing between the individual and their family, friends, and caregivers.
These books can be found at the Dorchester, Glencoe, Komoka, Lucan, Parkhill and Strathroy Libraries, or by searching "dementia friendly" in our online catalogue. Place a hold on any title to have it sent to the library branch of your choice. |

Little Sensory Seekers
Strathroy Library: Drop-in, June 27 & 28 Drop-in to visit our special sensory light room! In the glow-in-the-dark room, the kiddos are able to explore and discover a range of sensory experiences meant to stimulate imagination and creativity, all while in a soothing and calm environment. |
