More Library Events & Programs

We've highlighted just a few of the MANY programs happening this month.
Please explore our events calendar.

All Library events are free and open to the public. Programming is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Berkeley Public Library.

More than 4,000 of you responded to our community survey this Spring. THANK YOU to all who took the time to provide your valuable insights and feedback!

We will use information gleaned from the survey to effectively shape the Library's future budget, develop service priorities and design operational practices and policies.

Reminder: New Online Catalog Coming Soon

New Online Catalog launching July 2nd

Throughout May & June our staff is receiving robust training so that we will be ready for this exciting transition. We can't wait for you to experience new features including:
  • improved search results
  • the option to receive text message notifications for holds and due dates
  • "green" enhancements like choosing an email receipt versus a paper one at checkout
Take Action:
Lists & Reading History

Some of you have “opted in” to saving your reading history and/or have created reading lists in our current system. With our new online catalog, you will have enhanced options to build and share lists, but your old lists and reading history from our current system cannot be imported. All Libraries making this transition have experienced this. Want to save those lists to your own device?

Follow these directions. Need help? Just ask Library staff.
